This is a baby bat

I don’t want to alarm you, but there are probably like 300 more of these crawling around somewhere close by.  

When I was a kid the x-files was one of my favorite shows and so I was completely terrified that I was going to be abducted by aliens in my sleep. I’ve since watched enough sci-fi to know that aliens can also be cool and they don’t always just do experiments on you or implant you with things and just because something is unknown doesn’t mean it has to be scary.

Respected equally by all members of the breakfast club, David Bowie was a gracious and absolutely real person who was not swayed by anything except what inpired him at the time. No one can stop themselves from respecting such an authentic person, and I think that if we all become our own versions of that the world will improve significantly.

This show grew from a few random thoughts that began to fit together into a series, taking inspiration from pulp novel cover illustrations containing what we thought the future would look like in the past. This is the first concept in the series, and thank you for coming.

This is the third time I've painted a Cat Dracula. I'm getting tired of not getting any credit for being the most prolific Cat Dracula painter of all time. 

It’s crazy that owls are even a thing that lives on Earth. Seriously, go look at pictures of them.

I do this painting in protest of arithmetic.

I can’t stop painting Gilman trying to hold things. I feel like I should apologize for this.

I'm only twelve. But I've been that for a long time. 

Personally, I’m not a big fan of clothes on animals. The only exception to this would be a little fake leather motorcycle hat with tiny goggles on your pet or a helmet that amplifies telekinetic energy.

Since everything we experience is filtered through our own senses, when you look at someone you are really seeing yourself looking at them. When others look at you they are really seeing themselves looking at you. This already makes you practically in love with each other. We shouldn’t feel so alone all the time and it’s ok that we’re weird and the things that divide us are not real.

Our solar system is moving at like 500,000 miles per hour around the milky way in such a large orbit that it feels like a straight line. Each of us is going really really fast and we’re never going to be in the same place again so the only possible thing to do is move forward at like 500,000 miles per hour ( within reason ).

The universe has love, death, sadness, kindness, pain, life, the pyramids, lettuce, gravity, history, all the pairs of pants, and everything else that has ever existed. The things waiting to be discovered are endless. Our lives deserve to be filled with a real sense of wonder and we should be paying way more attention.

I recently adopted two kittens, brothers. For a good percentage of the time I was working on this series they attacked my feet and lower legs and caused all manner of general chaos in the studio.

Suspiciously similar to the two kittens featured in this painting, Milkshake and Boom Boom have black and white patches and they are from the future.
